Sports Massage Therapy

Sports massage has a number of benefits including preventing injury, restoring mobility to injured muscle tissue, boosting performance, maintaining the body in overall better condition and extending the life of your athletic career.

When a person receives a sports massage, their body releases neurotransmitters called endorphins. The pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in the brain produce endorphins which they act as the body’s natural pain reliever. Endorphins that are released due to receiving a sports massage help to decrease anxiety, provide pain relief, improve mood and enhance a person’s state of well-being.

Common injuries that we treat:Sprain strain, muscle rupture(partial), dislocation, frozen shoulder, knee, ankle, hip, shoulder, wrist, neck, cramps, nerves pain, spasm etc.

Pre-Event Massage (contact us for more details)

-Performed 24-48 hours before competition.Pre event massage plays a very useful and additional part in any preparation for competition. Only the principal muscles for the event are treated.

Post-Event Sport Massage (contact us for more details)

– Performed 24-48 hours after event. Most athletes carry out a cooling down routine but often fail to do so after competition because of sheer exhaustion, elation or disappointment. Massage can be an adequate substitute for a warm down as it can achieve much of the same effect by removing muscle waste and deep tissue stretching.
